History
Debut and NXT Tag Team Champions (2016–2019)
The Street Profits, consisting of Angelo Dawkins and Kenneth Crawford, made their debut on the March 16, 2016 episode of NXT, where they faced off against The Hype Bros. The duo, however, did not secure a win in this initial match.
In July 2017, Crawford, now renamed Montez Ford, and Dawkins began appearing in weekly vignettes as the Street Profits. They made a triumphant return in August, defeating the Metro Brothers, and embarked on a winning streak against various opponents. Despite their successes, the Street Profits suffered their first loss to The Authors of Pain (AOP) in January 2018, missing out on an NXT Tag Team Championship match.
The Street Profits made their first appearance at Evolve 114 in October 2018, winning the Evolve Tag Team Championship. They successfully defended their titles multiple times before losing them to the Unwanted in March 2019.
In May 2019, the Street Profits challenged The Viking Raiders for the vacated NXT Tag Team Championship. The match ended in a disqualification due to interference from The Forgotten Sons and Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch. A four-way tag team ladder match was scheduled, and the Street Profits emerged victorious, winning the NXT Tag Team Championship for the first time. They lost the championship to Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish in August 2019.
Raw Tag Team Champions (2019–2020)
As part of the 2019 Draft in October, the Street Profits were drafted to the Raw brand. They made their debut by defeating Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson. Despite their initial success, the team spent most of their early months on the main roster in backstage segments, a strategy designed to showcase their personalities and appeal to younger audiences.
The Street Profits had multiple opportunities to challenge for the Raw Tag Team Championship, but they were unsuccessful until March 2020, when they won the championship with the help of Kevin Owens. They successfully defended their titles multiple times, including at WrestleMania 36. They also engaged in a series of competitions with The Viking Raiders, dubbed the “Anything You Can Do, We Can Do Better” series, which ended in a tie.
SmackDown Tag Team Champions (2020–2021)
In the 2020 Draft, the Street Profits were drafted to the SmackDown brand. They traded their Raw Tag Team Championship for The New Day’s SmackDown Tag Team Championship, making them the second team to acquire the WWE Tag Team Triple Crown.
Their reign as SmackDown Tag Team Champions was marked by a feud with Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode. They successfully defended their titles until January 2021, when they lost to Ziggler and Roode. They failed to regain the titles in subsequent matches and Ford suffered a partial rib fracture in June, putting him out of action for months.
Championship pursuits (2021–2023)
In the 2021 WWE Draft, The Street Profits moved to the Raw brand. They faced RK-Bro for the Raw Tag Team Championship at Day 1 in 2022 but lost. At the Royal Rumble, Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford competed but did not win. They also missed winning the title at WrestleMania 38 in a match with Alpha Academy.
At Money in the Bank and SummerSlam, The Street Profits challenged The Usos for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship but failed both times. They teamed with Madcap Moss at Clash at the Castle, defeating Alpha Academy and Austin Theory.
In 2023, Dawkins and Ford entered the Royal Rumble but Brock Lesnar and Damian Priest eliminated them. Ford beat Elias on Raw, qualifying for the Elimination Chamber match for the United States Championship. However, he did not win the title there. The Street Profits triumphed at WrestleMania 39 in a fatal four-way tag team match. They returned to SmackDown later in 2023.
Alliance with Bobby Lashley (2023–present)
Their alliance with Bobby Lashley began on SmackDown in August 2023. They interrupted a match and teamed up with Lashley for the first time at Fastlane against the Latino World Order (LWO). Despite their efforts, LWO won.
On November 24, The Street Profits tried for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship against The Judgment Day. Rhea Ripley’s interference led to their loss.
