Aliyah was born to his parents in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on November 23, 1994. The female wrestler is therefore 27 years old. She was a first generation Canadian, growing up in Toronto in a conservative Middle Eastern Family. Not much information is known about her parents or her siblings. Early in her career, Aliyah wrestled for a number of independent promotions, including Squared Circle Wrestling and Great Canadian Wrestling. Most of her gigs were in her home country, but she also ventured into the Midwest at times.

Back when Aliyah was a teenager, she was just a fan of wrestling rather than working on a career in the sport. She started her own YouTube channel under the name of “chickkick21”. On the August 29 edition of Raw, Aliyah and Raquel Rodriguez defeated Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky to win the vacant WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship. It was her first championship in WWE. Although it was later seen that she pinned Dakota Kai who was not the legal competitor, nonetheless her team was still crowned champions.
